In an attempt to explore the junctions between real and virtual through technical image manipulation experiments and using digital tools and video games, I have developed this work that through a range of different topics related to each other by fire, be it intended as a technique or as an element, they return my perception and representation of reality.
The leitmotif is the relationship between man and nature: man subjects the planet, now close to catastrophe, to abuses of all kinds, in the name of technology. The scenario is the "Black Summer" a natural catastrophe that took place in Australia between the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020. To this event I have linked a series of themes such as Greek mythology and the story of Prometheus, the holocaust, alienation and the destruction of the natural world in favor of a virtual world.
Through this experiment I was able to personally and directly verify both the potential and the limits of the machinima format, generating anomalous situations that shatter the internal coherence of the video game with the result of obtaining an alternative and original product.
